The Department does not hold any records in relation to those who hold formal procurement qualifications (specifically CIPS, or NFQ Level 6 or Higher in procurement). The Learning & Development Unit in my Department work collaboratively with the Procurement Unit and the OGP to deliver regular communications, guidance and training to staff on the procurement process.

The Office of Government Procurement (OGP) plays an central role in helping my Department procure goods and services. My Department's Procurement Unit also operates a suite of oversight arrangements to ensure compliance with public procurement guidelines to the greatest extent possible.

My Department's Procurement Unit track all contracts in excess of €25,000 (including VAT) and operates a suite of oversight arrangements to ensure compliance with public procurement guidelines to the greatest extent possible.

In addition, purchase orders in excess of €20,000 incurred by my Department are published quarterly on my Department's website at www.gov.ie/en/department-of-culture-communications-and-sport/collections/purchase-orders/

Procurement matters for agencies and bodies under the aegis of my Department is an operational day-to-day matter for each body, in which I have no role.
