My officials engaged with the Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) who have confirmed that following receipt of a complaint regarding the iD Comfy Junior 8-15 product range, which is classified as a class I medical device, the HPRA initiated market surveillance activities for this product range. This activity is ongoing.

Whilst a timeline for completion cannot be determined at this stage, the HPRA advised that it has responded to the complainant in relation to this issue and has committed to keep the complainant updated on the activity. The HPRA is also continuing to engage with the manufacturer with regard to the issue raised.
