The proposed Coast Guard Station at Greystones, County Wicklow, has progressed significantly. The Department of Transport is currently awaiting the tender evaluation report from the Office of Public Works (OPW), which is managing the project on our behalf.

At this stage, a contract has not yet been signed. However, subject to the timely completion of the evaluation process and the necessary approvals, construction is expected to commence later in 2025. The estimated duration of the project is approximately 14 months.

The Department of Transport is committed to ensuring the delivery of this important infrastructure, which will enhance the service of the Irish Coast Guard.
