Currently, the number of students from Peru studying in Ireland's higher education institutions is very low, around 10 in total.
Consequently, Education in Ireland, which promotes higher education internationally on behalf of my Department, does not currently include Peru among the priority countries where it is focussing its attention. Nevertheless, potential students have access to the virtual education fairs which Education in Ireland conducts as part of its digital marketing campaigns in the LATAM region.
I welcome reports of increased interest from international students considering Ireland as a destination in which to advance their education. Making Ireland a first-choice destination for international learners, researchers and innovators is a key pillar of Global Citizens 2030, Ireland’s international Talent & Innovation strategy.
