As the state agency responsible for the Further Education and Training (FET) sector, SOLAS allocates funding to 16 Education and Training Boards (ETBs) and other agencies to deliver FET programmes, based on agreed targets including learner numbers.
As part of City of Dublin ETB’s annual allocation, funding is provided to KLEAR Further Education Service for the delivery of adult literacy, community education and English Language (ESOL) courses. This funding is allocated based on actual expenditure, subject to annual budgetary ceilings.
There is no capital funding provided by City of Dublin ETB to KLEAR Education Service. Please note that KLEAR Education Service also receive funding from sources other than City of Dublin ETB.
The following table outlines the actual payments made by City of Dublin ETB to KLEAR Further Education Service for the years 2023, 2024 and 2025:
