A comprehensive learning and development programme is implemented by the Department of the Taoiseach to ensure that employees at all levels have the required skills and knowledge to perform their individual roles and deliver the strategic objectives of the Department. The programme includes training courses provided by the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) which is responsible for OneLearning - the learning and development system which provides training on the core skills and capabilities for the civil service.

The details requested by the Deputy are outlined in the below table:

Year: Course: Supplier: No. of Attendees: Cost:
2025 Preparing to appear as a witness in front of Oireachtas Committees IPA/OneLearning 1 €110.00
2025 Preparing your colleagues to appear at Oireachtas Committees IPA/OneLearning 1 €110.00
2 €220.00

The delivery of this training was not in respect of any specific committee.

The National Economic and Social Development Office (NESDO), the only body under the aegis of the Department, did not incur any expenditure on such training in the period specified.
