504. To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government the number of self-build mortgage loans issued annually for each of the past five years; and if such loans are tracked distinctly from other residential mortgage types in departmental or agency-level statistics. [32146/25]

My Department does not collect information on the operation on the mortgage market in Ireland. Questions relating to the operation of the commercial mortgage market should be directed to my colleague the Minister for Finance who has policy responsibility in this area.
The role of my Department in mortgage origination is limited to the provision of the Local Authority Home Loan and the Local Authority Purchase and Renovation Loan, which are delivered by local authorities.
My Department publishes information on Local Authority Home Loan activity which includes statistics on the number and value of Local Authority Home Loan approvals and Local Authority Home Loan drawdowns which are available at the following link:

Statistics on the number of Local Authority Home Loan issued for self-build projects are not collected by my Department.
