Following the formal transfer of functions from and to my Department which took effect on 1 June, my Department has now commenced the process of preparing a draft Statement of Strategy for the three-year period from 2025 to 2028. I look forward to considering the draft document in due course.

The new Statement of Strategy will reflect the objectives as set out by the Programme for Government as they relate to my Department, and is also particularly important in the context of the new departmental configuration.

A consultation process will be initiated shortly to allow stakeholders and members of the public an opportunity to submit their views in relation to strategic issues they believe should be considered as part of the new Statement of Strategy.
