I propose to take Questions Nos. 429 to 436, inclusive, and 442 together.
My Department now directly employs 4,067 people, including a number of agencies within Vote 24. There are 1603 staff under the Civil Justice Pillar and 255 staff under the Criminal Justice Pillar (as of 11 June 2025).
Since my appointment as Minister, work has been ongoing in my Department to develop a new Statement of Strategy and it is my intention to finalise the Statement in the coming weeks.
The Ministerial management advisory committee (MinMAC) including both Ministers of State has met four times since February.
The incoming transfers of functions to my Department are now complete. Responsibility for integration, International Protection Accommodation Services (IPAS), and the Ukraine Division transferred to my Department from the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth on 1 May while colleagues from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and Cyber Security Policy teams joined my Department on 1 June.
The process of transferring matters related to property services from my Department to the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, and censorship to the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport is not yet complete. There is ongoing engagement between the Departments with a view to bringing proposals to Government to complete these transfers as soon as possible.
Finally, since my appointment as Minister, I have met with the heads of all of the agencies in the Justice Sector.
