In line with the Programme for Government, responsibility for all aspects of international protection accommodation, Ukraine accommodation and integration transferred from the Department of Children, Disability and Equality to my Department on 1 May 2025.

The implementation of the transfer of functions was guided by the Transfer of Functions Guidelines and Best Practice Handbook developed by the Department of Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform.
