The authority to conclude international agreements such as this Memorandum of Understanding is exercised on behalf of the Irish Government by my colleague, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade. As Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment, I am responsible for relevant negotiations but not for the Government decision to withdraw from international agreements. Ireland has been a consistently strong voice in Europe against the war in Gaza.
