381. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if his attention has been drawn to the concerns of small business groups in areas impacted by ongoing DART upgrades and repairs; if he will instruct Irish Rail and the NTA to engage with these groups to minimise the disruption caused; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As Minister of Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding of public transport. The National Transport Authority (NTA) has responsibility for the planning and development of public transport infrastructure within the Greater Dublin Area (GDA) including, in consultation with Iarnród Eireann, the track maintenance works on the southern DART line.

Noting the NTA's responsibility in this matter, I have referred the Deputy's question to the NTA for a more detailed reply. Please contact my private office if you do not receive a reply within 10 days.
