To ask the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government further to Parliamentary Question No. 54 of 28 May 2025, the funding that was allocated to the Irish environmental network in 2025; and the estimated cost of increasing this funding by 10%, 25%, 50% and 100% in 2026, in tabular form. In 2025, the funding allocated to the IEN is €3,127,000, which is the same allocation as was granted in 2024.

The below table illustrates what the total would be if the percentage increases specified by the Deputy were added:

All funding for the IEN is provided via the Circular Economy Fund. The level of funding shows the Department's strong support for the importance of the work done by the member organisations of the IEN across a broad range of environmental issues, including wildlife conservation, biodiversity, and climate change.
