The processing of Access to Information on the Environment (AIE) requests for my Department is carried out by the dedicated AIE Unit in accordance with the AIE Regulations 2007.

Following verification by the internal IT team in my Department and their IT partners, in the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO), I can confirm that the email address aie@decc.gov.ie used to attempt to submit these three AIE requests, as referenced in the correspondence supplied, is not, nor has ever been, an active email address.

The dedicated email address to submit AIE requests to my Department is AIE.Unit@decc.gov.ie, as published on the gov.ie web page for 'how to make an AIE request to DECC': www.gov.ie/en/department-of-the-environment-climate-and-communications/services/make-an-access-to-information-on-the-environment-aie-request-to-decc/.

I am pleased to note that the requestor has previously had a positive experience when engaging with the AIE Unit of my Department via the correct contact point. I can also confirm that my Department has now accepted the three AIE requests following your Representation on their behalf and will process these requests accordingly.
