The Knowledge Transfer Programme was introduced under Ireland's CAP Strategic Plan and opened for applications in September 2023. Knowledge Transfer participant payments commenced on 28 March 2025 with over 4,000 participants being paid their full payment of €750 each in respect of year 1 for attending a minimum of 8 group meetings and their 1:1 meeting. This timeline was in line with my Departments commitments under the current Farmers Charter.
Regarding the case the Deputy has provided, this participant did not attend the minimum of 8 Group meetings and therefore was not in the first group of payments which issued. The participant should receive their pro-rata payment within the next 10 days.
