My Department owns, operates and maintains six designated State-owned Fishery Harbour Centres, located at Castletownbere, Dingle, Dunmore East, Howth, Killybegs and Ros An Mhíl under statute. My colleague Minister of State Timmy Dooley TD has special responsibilities for Fisheries within my Department and, as such, the Fishery Harbour Centres fall under his direct remit.

To date Minister Dooley has visited three of the Fishery Harbour Centres, namely Ros An Mhíl, Castletownbere and Killybegs.

During his visits, Minister Dooley had the opportunity to meet with the Harbour Master and the marine engineering and operational staff. The visits enabled Minister Dooley to become familiar with the specific harbour operations and the unique characteristics of each Fishery Harbour Centre and to engage with local stakeholders. The Minister also met with local elected representatives and seafood sector stakeholders.

As requested, I have provided details of the visits in tabular form below.
