999. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality if Israeli nationals seeking a visa to visit Ireland are required to provide information as to whether they served in the Israeli Defence Forces and/or were involved in the commissioning of war crimes in Gaza; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can advise the Deputy that Israeli citizens are not visa required for Ireland, therefore, they do not need to apply to the Immigration Service of my Department for a visa prior to travel.

When any non-EEA national presents at a border, an Immigration Officer must determine whether that person should be granted leave to land and gain entry to the State. In performing their duties, an Officer is required to consider all of the circumstances of the individual at the time of entry in line with the provisions of the Immigration Act 2004.

If a person is an Israeli national their request to enter Ireland will be considered in the same manner as any other non-visa required non-EEA nationals.
