The current cycle of my Department's Multi-annual Rural Water Programme (MARWP) covers the period until the end of 2026. A total of 875 individual applications, including one for a Community Water Connection project at the location in the details supplied were received from local authorities across the country.

An independent Expert Panel is tasked with evaluating and reviewing each application, assessing the information provided against the objectives of the programme and making recommendations for my consideration and decision on their suitability for funding.

As per the terms and conditions set out in advance of the launch of this cycle of the MARWP programme, funding under Measure A7 is subject to a €15,000 per house maximum limit.

Having considered the details of the application including the recommendation received from the independent Expert Panel I have made a decision, which is final, not to approve funding for the application concerned.
