On foot of a record level of funding and of grantees under the most recent 2023 round of the Community Sport Facilities Fund, the Sports Capital Division within my Department is dealing with a significant volume of applications for formal approval and payments. This is impacting on the turnaround of such applications which are being systematically processed.

The Department expect to be in a position to examine the submitted documentation for the club referred to by the Deputy very shortly, with a view to granting formal approval.
