The Deputy will be aware from previous Parliamentary Questions that planning permission was granted for a 24-classroom primary school in the Dublin 15 area. This school will be used in the first instance as decant accommodation for these two primary schools while they are being remediated/retrofitted.

Construction on this new 24 classroom school is nearing completion and it is anticipated that Tyrrelstown Educate Together National School will move into this school at the end of June until remediation/ retrofitting is complete in their school. It is anticipated that Tyrrelstown Educate Together NS will return to their own school building to reopen for the 2026/2027 school year.

At this early stage it is premature to comment on the precise closure and reopening timelines for St Luke's NS.
