As the Deputy is aware, the school in question obtained a leak detection test highlighting 3 leaks. The original contractor has since come back and repaired these.

On 19 March 2025 the Emergency Work Scheme (EWS) team within my Department conducted a site visit to assess the issues at play. The EWS team advised the school to obtain a further leak test as the original was conducted in 2022.

As of 30 May 2025 the school have updated the EWS area noting that the tests have been conducted and it is awaiting the report.

The next steps will include a technical review of the report in order to identify next steps, and engaging further with the principal in this regard.

The EWS team is aware of the urgent nature of the works required and will keep the school informed throughout the process.
