509. To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if she will provide the current and planned expansions of primary schools in north Kildare, in tabular form, and the status of same. [29086/25]

Since 2020, my department has invested over €6 billion in our schools throughout the country under the National Development Plan (NDP), involving the completion of over 1,375 school building projects. Government support for this investment, including by way of supplementary capital funding, has delivered real benefits for school communities.
Between 2020 and the end of April 2025, the total capital invested in Co. Kildare schools is over €339m, of which circa. €193m was invested in North Kildare, €93m at post primary level and €100m at primary level
From 2020 to date, 51 school building projects have been completed in Co. Kildare of which 30 were in North Kildare, 11 at post primary level and 19 at primary level. These projects were delivered under the Large Scale and Additional Accommodation schemes and the Modular programme.
Currently there are 21 school building projects under construction in Co. Kildare of which 4 are new school building projects. Of these 11 are in North Kildare, 4 at post primary level and 7 at primary level.
There are 56 school building projects in Co. Kildare moving through the various stages of design, of which 11 are new school building projects. Of the 56 projects, 33 are in North Kildare, 10 at post primary level and 23 at primary level. 9 of the eleven projects are new school buildings projects, 4 at post primary level and 5 at primary level.
