I refer to your recent correspondence in relation to the building project for Portmarnock Community School.
The major building project for the school referred to is currently at Stage 3, Tender Action & Award.
The Department has issued the tender for this project in order to set up a framework of contractors with returns initially due on the 18th of April. Following this, a tender assessment report is expected on the 20th June.
The framework is due to be established by Q3 of 2025 pending no issues arise and subject to relevant due diligence by my Department at each stage in the process, within the context of overall programme and budgetary parameters. It is expected this project will progress to construction stage in late 2025.
The large-scale capital project remains a priority for delivery and Department officials will keep the school authorities updated on progress and next steps.
