The core function of the redeployment arrangements is to facilitate the redeployment of all surplus permanent teachers on the Main Panel to other schools that have vacancies

The staffing and redeployment arrangements are set out in Circular 0011/2025. That circular includes options for any residual teachers on the main panel where all permanent positions have been filled. Such options include taking up a fixed-term post, posts outside the 45km radius from the teacher’s previous school or cross-patronage redeployment.

The main panels are currently in operation and my Department is liaising with the panel operators to ensure timely redeployment.
