The below table shows the additional annual cost associated with reducing the Drugs Payment Scheme (DPS) Threshold in increments of €5 from €80 to €0 per month:

These costings do not take account of changes in demographics, in eligibility (e.g., changes in the number of medical card holders), or in claimant behaviour arising from a reduction in the DPS threshold.
