The person named submitted an application under the ACRES General stream and was approved into Tranche 1 of the scheme, with a commencement date of 1st January 2023.

An ACRES inspection took place on the holding on the 13 February 2025. A notification of the inspection findings issued to the person named by letter dated 13 May 2025 and the following penalties were outlined:

1. A 10% Remedial Action penalty on Coppicing Action for replacing the temporary wire and temporary posts found on the inspection with permanent posts and wire along the coppicing.

2. A 26.64% reduction and a 26.64% overclaim penalty for one length of proposed coppicing measuring 70.4 meters not completed.

3. A 100% Riparian Buffer Zone – Grassland non-compliance penalty. The parcel was found to have been recently grazed by sheep on the date of inspection.

4. A 60.60% Extensively Grazed Pasture non-compliance penalty. A ring feeder was present on a parcel with silage present, and there was evidence of recent use by cattle.

I can confirm that a request to review this decision was received by my Department's ACRES section and forwarded to the relevant Regional Inspector.

The request is being considered by the Regional Inspector and the herd owner will be contacted directly when a decision is made.
