251. To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government the estimated cost of purchasing the remaining ten properties on the historic Moore Street terrace adjacent to the State-owned properties at the National Monument; and if this has ever been discussed by his Department with the private owners. Whilst the question of the State acquiring some or all of the Dublin Central site surrounding the Moore Street area has been raised in recent years, the priority focus of government at present is the completion of the commemorative project underway at the national monument which is in state ownership at numbers 14 - 17 Moore Street.

The cost of purchasing the remaining ten properties has not been established, and this would be influenced by various factors such as the willingness of the owners to sell and would need to be assessed by experts.
