As the Deputy will be aware, a Resolution Unit is to be established and resourced by the NTMA, with responsibility for managing any residual activity of NAMA following its dissolution and any residual activity of IBRC (in Special Liquidation).
It is currently anticipated by the NTMA that the Resolution Unit will require approximately 10 staff members, including a Head of Unit, the role for which will not be performed by the current CEO of NAMA.
In relation to the potential for the current CEO of NAMA or any other NAMA staff to return to the NTMA outside of the Resolution Unit, I am advised by the NTMA that no final arrangements have been made at this time. Any future decisions in this regard will be made having regard to the contractual position of the individuals concerned.
