Funding for Traveller and Roma communities is provided across a range of Government Departments and State Agencies to address their specific needs, and to advance the objectives of the National Traveller and Roma Inclusion Strategy II 2024 - 2028, according to the individual responsibilities of each Department and Agency.

My Department supports Traveller and Roma local and national organisations and a range of programmes that address the disadvantage and economic and social exclusion faced by both communities as well as to celebrate and support Traveller and Roma culture and diversity. The funding is for current expenditure only. The Department does not have funding available for capital expenditure on cultural centres focused on Traveller culture and identity.
