The legislation and policy reasoning behind motor tax form RF111A are outlined in the response to Parliamentary Question No. 454 of 29 April 2025.
The form is required to be completed by the applicant in the presence of a member of An Garda Síochána and to be signed and stamped by that officer for verification purposes.
The same requirement applies to a number of other motor tax forms such as the RF134 application for replacement documents.
As outlined in the previous response there are no proposals to amend these procedures for the present.
