I propose to take Questions Nos. 901 and 902 together.

SOLAS is proactively engaging with Dublin and Dún Laoghaire ETB (DDLETB) to address the provision needs of the region via a pipeline of capital projects that are already progressing through existing appraisal and approval processes. SOLAS has advised my Department that the requirement for additional capacity in the vicinity of the Wavin Factory has not been highlighted and, therefore, the site is not under consideration.

My Department works collaboratively with all Higher Education Institutions and Education and Training Boards on the?development?of capital projects in line with their?established masterplans. At present DDLETB is being supported by SOLAS in developing a proposal for Swords under the FET College of the Future Major Projects fund. Officials from my Department and SOLAS have been engaging with Local Authority and ETB officials and have carried out an extensive review of site options to progress this project. In parallel to this work, DDLETB is also working on a Preliminary Business Case (PBC) proposal for the infrastructure which will be delivered on the site.
