I am informed by the HSE that the group called the 'Irish Society of Paramedicine' (ISP) are not a recognised National Ambulance Service (NAS) staff trade union. The HSE and NAS have long-standing relationships with recognised trade unions providing representation for NAS Staff.

As the Deputy will be aware, this Government remains committed to investing in the continued development of our National Ambulance Service (NAS) with a significant allocation of €285 million in 2025.

NAS funding in 2025, includes €8 million for new service developments (converting to an investment of €16 million in 2026), which will deliver up to 180 additional posts to further support emergency frontline services, expand NAS alternative care pathways, and continue development of NAS specialist services such as Critical Care Retrieval and Aeromedical services.
