I am informed by the Garda authorities that, as of 30 April 2025, there were a total of 118 vehicles attached to the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) West Division, including 97 cars. 44 of those cars were marked and 53 were unmarked. I am further advised that An Garda Síochána cannot provide figures for which vehicles were used operationally on specific dates.
The Garda Commissioner is responsible for the management and administration of An Garda Síochána. This includes the management of Garda resources, such as the Garda fleet.
The table below provides a breakdown of the vehicles attached to the DMR West Division, by station, as of 30 April 2025:
Station | Cars | Vans | Motorcycles | 4x4s | Others | Total vehicles |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Blanchardstown | 46 | 7 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 56 |
Clondalkin | 27 | 7 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 34 |
Lucan | 24 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 28 |
DMR West total | 97 | 16 | 2 | 0 | 3 | 118 |
