416. To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection further to Parliamentary Question No. reply 794 of 15 May 2025, if his Department met with the CSO to discuss the changes to data entry on the CRCS; if there is a plan for implementation; if there is a timeline for the implementation of these changes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My officials have held meetings with CSO in this matter. The CSO has agreed to revise its process to ensure the parties to a marriage can be listed in the order of the couples choosing. This involves changes to the production process for CSO. Testing is being commenced to ensure the change can be implemented seamlessly and without impacting the CSO production process. The General Register Office is working with CSO and when testing has been completed it will be implemented across the Civil Registration Service.
