ICT services for my department are provided by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) under the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Services, Reform and Digitalisation.
As part of this arrangement, my department uses Microsoft Teams as part of the department’s collaboration and communication platform as a core part of our desktop toolset. Microsoft Windows 10 is also used, with plans in place to upgrade to Microsoft Windows 11 in the coming months, Microsoft Word for Office 365 and Microsoft Excel for Office 365. Microsoft windows, Microsoft word and Microsoft excel are included in the user productivity suite of services provided to all staff in my department.
My department does not currently use Lotus Notes databases.
