Under the Community Recognition Fund 2023 and 2024 a total of €100 million in funding has been made available to communities across Ireland.

Last August, €16.4 million was approved to deliver 185 community projects across the country under the first tranche of the 2024 allocation. On 24th February, I approved over €14 million to deliver 164 projects across the country for the second tranche. The closing date for the third and final tranche has now passed and my officials are reviewing the proposals submitted by each local authority.

I can confirm that Louth County Council were allocated over €1.3 million under the 2024 fund. The local authority did not submit any applications under the first tranche of CRF 2024. However, six projects totalling over €500,000 were approved under tranche 2. Further applications have been submitted for consideration under the third and final tranche, and the successful projects will be announced shortly.
