90. To ask the Minister for Rural and Community Development if he will provide an update on the review of the CLÁR Programme; if he will expand CLÁR to cover those communities which are currently ineligible to apply under the scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25878/25]

The CLÁR Programme provides funding under a number of different measures for small-scale infrastructural projects in designated rural areas.
The Programme for Government makes a commitment to carry out a comprehensive review of the eligibility criteria for CLÁR within 6 months with a view to expanding the programme to rural areas which are currently ineligible.
This review has now commenced and I expect this work to be concluded within the timeframe provided in the Programme for Government. The outcome of the review will inform my decision regarding the areas that will be eligible for CLÁR in the future.
