I have requested the information sought by the Deputy from the Garda authorities. Regrettably, this was not available in time and I will write to the Deputy once the information is to hand.

The Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT) was established in January 2023, to address identified gaps in maximising opportunities to tackle mid-level organised crime groups operating throughout the Dublin Region. The DCRT provides an immediate and dynamic response to intelligence-led policing operations tackling criminality, including, but not limited to, illicit drugs supply, burglary, money laundering, vehicle theft and feud related activity including drug related intimidation.

Since the establishment of the DCRT in January 2023, a significant number of successful outcomes have been achieved arising from various intelligence-led and proactive operational activity undertaken by the unit.

I am advised by the Garda authorities that there are currently a total of 36 members attached to the DCRT which comprises 28 Gardaí and 8 members of Inspector and Sergeant rank.
