While the International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) cannot comment publicly on individual cases, I can reassure the Deputy that IPAS officials are aware of the specific case and the identified needs and that this is receiving attention.

IPAS officials will examine the case in line with a previous commitment to review available suitable accommodation in the relevant locality.

By way of context, I also wish to reassure the Deputy that IPAS has a number of protocols and procedures in place for considering applications for transfer in cases of medical priority, where people are undergoing specialist treatment or may need to live within a reasonable travelling distance to a hospital.

Please note that such transfers are dependent on accommodation availability.
