As Minister of State for International & Road Transport, Logistics, Rail & Ports, I am advised by my officials that the Dún Laoghaire rocket house is vested in the Minister for Transport. This property is currently vacant and surplus to my department’s requirements. The OPW is working with my department to assist with the disposal of the property.

Subject to clarification on title and OPW priorities, the property will be disposed of by the OPW in accordance with its disposals policy and central government policies on the disposal of surplus properties, as set out in the following Department of Public Expenditure and Reform (DPER) Circulars:

  • Circular 11/2015: Protocols for the Transfer and Sharing of State Property Assets.
  • Circular 17/2016: Policy for Property Acquisition and for Disposal of Surplus Property.
