My Department sources IT equipment through the Office of Government Procurement (OGP).
OGP have established a range of centralised procurement arrangements for use by public bodies. These centralised procurement arrangements facilitate efficient procurement practice, optimise value-for-money, and support public bodies in meeting their obligations to consider more strategic outcomes including green, social and SME-friendly considerations.
My Department operates in accordance with Circular 16/13: Revision of arrangements concerning the use of Central Contracts put in place by the National Procurement Service, Circular 09/2024: Reporting on the Use of Centralised Procurement Arrangements and Circular 24/2023: Update of the Infrastructure Guidelines Capital Spending Requirements.
My Department acts on Government policy that public bodies, where possible, should make use of all such centralised procurement arrangements.
