The Defence Forces endeavour to notify local residents and to limit disruption caused by any training exercises undertaken, especially where it is necessary for training to be carried out at night. I am advised by  the military authorities that a training exercise was conducted by 2 Brigade Training Centre in St. Bridget’s Campus, Ballinasloe over the period in question from Wednesday 30th April to Thursday 1st May 2025. I am further advised that the Defence Forces communicated with the An Garda Síochána Ballinasloe informing them of same and that local signage was also erected to indicate a military exercise was taking place and in addition a visit by Defence Forces personnel was made to local residents.
