I am advised by the Commissioners of Public Works (OPW) that the Garda station at An Rinn, Co. Waterford is an operational Garda station and the OPW has not been advised by An Garda Síochána that the property is surplus to their requirements. Therefore, the OPW is not in a position to engage with Waterford City and County Council or an approved housing body to dispose of the property for social and affordable housing.
