To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if he will provide data on the number of people earning more than €100,000 per year from employment in the public sector including departments, agencies, State owned companies and semi-State companies, broken down by their employing public sector body and the value of the salaries. Employees of my Department, it’s offices and agencies are employed on set pay scales. Staff are recruited at the minimum point of the salary scale unless pay on promotion rules are applicable.
Of the total number of staff of 1049, the number of staff earning greater than €100,000 in my Department and its offices, including the WRC, Labour Court, IPOI & CRO is 98.
Table 1 shows a breakdown of staff currently earning greater than €100,000 in the agencies of my Department.
