I propose to take Questions Nos. 401, 404, 405, 406, 407 and 408 together.

The National Treatment Purchase Fund (NTPF) is an independent public body, undertaking diverse roles within the Irish Health Care System. These include Contract Management with Nursing Homes, Commissioning of consultations and treatments for patients, assisting hospitals in the standardisation of waiting list management by providing protocols and undertaking audits, validation of waiting lists through direct correspondence with patients, and publication of waiting list data on a monthly basis.

The NTPF Annual Reports, including the certified Annual Financial Statements, for 2007 to 2013 are published on their website and can be found at: www.ntpf.ie/about-the-ntpf/publications/

The information requested by the Deputy in relation to annual allocation, total expenditure, the breakdown of expenditure by specialty and between public and private providers, up to 2023 is available there.

In relation to the treatment of patients in Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom, the NTPF has provided my Department with the details below, which relate to two hospitals in Northern Ireland and are exclusive of PSWT (Professional Services Withholding Tax).

The NTPF received funding of €239 million in 2024 and €230 million in 2025. Draft financial statements in respect of 2024 have been prepared. Once these have been audited and certified by the Comptroller and Auditor General, they will be laid before the Oireachtas and incorporated into the NTPF Annual Report 2024 for publication on the NTPF website.
