Cycling Policy

321. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the number of cycle to work scheme applications processed by his Department and its agencies, affiliated agencies or subordinate agencies, each year from 2020 to 2024; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22325/25]

I fully support the uptake of the Cycle to Work Scheme by staff in my Department and its aegis bodies.

My Department has been awarded the Smarter Travel Mark by the National Transport Authority, demonstrating our commitment to promoting walking, cycling, public transport usage and carpooling and by implementing measures that facilitate, support and encourage sustainable travel options for our workforce and visitors.

As a member of the Smarter Travel Programme, my Department is currently taking part in the Ready, Set, Cycle programme, which provides a toolkit and resources to encourage and support staff to begin, continue or increase cycling on their commute and beyond.

Information in relation to Cycle to Work Scheme applications for my Department and its aegis bodies is set out in the table below.
