The person concerned is currently in receipt of a Disablement Pension in respect of a workplace accident dated 4 July 1981.
On 2 July 2018, an application for Disablement Benefit in respect of pneumoconiosis was received from the person concerned. On 24 October 2018, the person concerned was requested to submit up to date medical evidence in support of their application. This evidence was not submitted.
On foot of recent representations, on 1 May 2025, my Department requested the person concerned to supply additional information in support of their application. Once this documentation is received, it will be sent to the Medical Assessor for their opinion. The person concerned will be informed in writing of any decisions made in respect of their application.
I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
