The Department of Rural and Community Development has allocated €50,000 to Kerry County Council under the Town & Village Renewal Scheme 2024 to carry out a feasibility study on 8 former Coastguard Houses at Coastal Terrace, Knightstown, Valentia. The properties are in the ownership of the Commissioners of Public Works (OPW) and the OPW are agreeable to a feasibility study being carried out. Alternative State uses for the properties are also under consideration.
