To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the reason for the dramatically increased required levels of demonstrated financial support to study in Ireland for non-visa required international students (details supplied); the means by which students booked to arrive in July and August can be expected to secure the additional funds at such short notice; to consult with the education sector in line with the Department’s Customer Charter about this change; and to consider delaying implementation of this requirement to minimise uncertainty for incoming students.
