Budget 2023 provided €0.5m to expand harm-reduction services for adults and children experiencing difficulties with gambling and gaming. This included information and resources on problem gambling and gaming, including prevention, treatment and support services. Budget 2024 builds on this with a further €0.5m being provided.
As treatment in tier 4 services is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the deputy directly, as soon as possible.
